Danish Rock’n'rollers’ The Raveonettes have their new album “In and out of control” out now on Vice/Fierce Panda/Universal. Full stream + bonus mini interview below:

It’s a difficult time for the music industry: how do you see the future of it?

I think it’s a great time really. I’m getting exposed to so much new and exciting music on a daily basis and just because the major labels have been incredibly slow at catching up with the inevitable changes doesn’t mean the “industry” is in jeopardy.

How do you use and see the web today, how do you see it evolving in the coming years?

I read the news, blogs, listen to music, watch movies, everything really. I’m not sure where it’s gonna go but it can only get better.

What would be your dream online music service?

It’s already there. The ability to check out any kind of music you want at all times.

Servicing promotional copies of your music: digital or physical?

Both.

Distribution: DIY or aggregator?

Both.

How much money could you save by using more digital in your day to day operations?

A lot.

You have some buzz in an emerging country but no way to monetize it, would you give away your music for free to keep growing it?

Absolutely. People will buy the music anyway once they can get their hands on a psychical copy and even if they didn’t, the free stuff would pave the way for some significant live shows.

How do you deal with / prevent / use an (un)official leak?

I don’t care about it. If the album leaks, great, people can start listening to it and spread the word.

Could you tell us what is your most important source of income today?
Album sales, publishing and live shows. Nothing has changed for us. In fact, we sell more albums than ever.

Is there any feature/service we could build for you?
Can’t think of any.

Recommended music site (services, shop, blogs…)
NME, Amazon, Ebay, Ohmyrockness.
