What is Kumisolo about, can you introduce yourself to our community?
I’m a japanese musician, I compose tracks and ask some friends like O.Lamm, Domotic or Hypo… to collaborate.

What are you up to at the moment?
Right now, I’m moving to a new flat. It takes so much time I don’t really know about what’s going on except Japanese elections. And I hope that thanks to the new government there will be more children in Japan soon.

What is your album about, why should we listen to it?
My album is made of lots of love stories and pop music. It is a good source of power.

How did you get into music, what’s your musical background?
I practiced a lot of instruments since my childhood : shamisen (japanese instrument with 3 chords), trumpet, piano, guitar, wooden flute…

How is internet important for you today and how do you see it evolving in the coming years?
Internet is very important for me, I manage to keep contact with my family and my friends in Japan, and I always used it as a tool to share informations about what I do since 1999.

As an artist how do you use the web today as a producer?
I use internet to communicate with people I know and people I don’t. Thanks to internet, I played a lot of shows all over the world!

What are you currently listening to and recommand?
When I was in Japan during the summer, I recovered some old 7”es who belonged to my mother:

Right now, I’m very interested in listening to the new solo album of Etienne from Zombie Zombie and the last Yo La Tengo.
A band I would recommend is VIDEOSEX, a russian band from the 80’s, and also SOTAISEI RIRON, a japanese band :

Do you live entirely of your music today?
Not Yet!

Best thing that happened to you last month?
I managed to see my family and my friends in Japan. It was 4 years since I’ve been there!

Are you a good cook and if yes what’s your speciality recipe?
My special recipe is chicken wings with white radish.

Where is, for you, THE place to play live, if one (sound, lights, crew, friendly promoter, unlimited drink tickets)?
I like Point éphémère in Paris, I remind of a special good party there, the Doki Doki one, organised Sylvie Astié and David le Simple.

A movie you would like to watch now, right now?
« Evangelion » by Hideaki Anno.

Best place to stay when abroad?
Brussels as there are a lot of flea markets.

Last album you enjoyed listening?

What was the last (physical) book you readed and when was that?
An essay by Kenji Otsuki that deals with news item from 90’s in Japan.

With my black swatch!

White painting for kitchen’s wall.
