Kitsuné, the always tastemaking Paris/Tokyo label has made a lot of heads turn in 2008, with both music and fashion endeavors. It’s only right they came through with their top 10 of 2008 playlist. Listen and read what they had to say about each track.

Heartsrevolution – “Ultraviolence” (Vitalic Remix)
A future anthem! European techno vs NY undergound: 2009 can begin.

Streetlife DJ’s – “Gunn Crime”
A disco firework! The best bootleg of 2008 is not one;-)
When the dancefloor becomes a rollercoster!

Guns’n’ Bombs – “Riddle of Steel”(Para One remix)
Los Angeles, city of angels and club kids ;-)
With Cobrasnake, Guns’n’ Bombs represents the explosion of this new exciting American club culture.

A-Trak – “Say Whoa”
The talented Kanye West’Dj invite you to a robotic dance…
So get on the Dancefloor and say “Whoa”!

La Roux – “Quicksand” (autoKratz drags to rich remix)
The one to watch in 2009! Let’s dance on this AutoKratz’ remix, Kitsuné’s protégés ;-)

Béni – “My Love Sees You”
The new comer in the Kitsuné family. Well known for his productions under the name of “Riot In Belgium”, Beni is ready to conquer the world ;-)

Appaloosa – “The Day (We Fell In Love)”
One the most beautiful songs of 2008. The EP is for February 2009 with an exclusive remix by Todd Edwards. Magical.

In Flagranti – “Business Acumen”(Holy Ghost cover)
It’s a dancefloor killer Gildas & Masaya are always playing in their dj sets !… The original comes with the highly enjoyable HOLY GHOST! cover version and a YOU LOVE HER COZ SHES DEAD remix (a EP is forthcoming on Kitsuné :-) Pure joy!

You Love Her Coz Shes Dead – “Superheroes”
Clearly the best band name of 2008! Certainly the sound of the next generation.

AutoKratz – “Stay the same”
“They sure know how to turn up the volume” -NME
Nothing to add ;-)
