InFiné’s Austrian Princess has recently relocated to Barcelona where she cultivates a singular sense of femininity and an uncommon elegance on the fringes of minimal, microhouse and pop in her prodcutions. She counts among her best supporters James Holden, DJ Sasha, Deetron, Ripperton or Laurent Garnier. Back this week with a new Ep, “Silently”, on InFiné, she hits us with an exclusive mix.

Who are you?
I am Clara, from Graz /Austria, living in Barcelona at the moment.

What’s your mix about?
I really like the first track Zauberberg 2, which has been released in 1999 on Mille Plateaux, and Kompakt just released it again.
The Chloé remix is also my all time favorite. I think it is nice to finish my mix with Danton´s Eeprom, The Infinity Symbol.

What are you up to these days?
I am about to leave Barcelona to go back to Austria for three months.

How do you define your sound today?
I think my sound is always a bit different, sometimes more monotonous, sometimes more melodies. I am also working with two friends, so this affects my sound as well.

What are you currently listening to?
Right at this moment I am listening to Milosh.

How are the scenes in Vienna and Barcelona at the moment?
Both cities have many good artists, in Austria there is Ken Hayakawa, Soundsilo, Mars. In Barcelona there are many artists who founded small labels ( 4Line Records, Soundworks) and parties. They are well connected and interact a lot. That’s what I really like about the scene in Barcelona.

Spots you recommend?
Barcelona, bars in Raval, beach parties in summer (Marbella beach), festivals at Maresme forum.
Vienna, check out Wurstsalon parties, they are quite excessive, and Icke Micke too (always good line up) and also check out the Elevate and Spring festivals in Graz.

What was you best night out, and what would be your dream team line up for a party?
During the Sonar week, I had a great time, there were many great parties, also some festivals here were really good ( Daydream with Radiohead). But I also had good nights out in Austria with my friends ( at Elevate festival for example).
Dream Team would probably have Björk, Radiohead , Magda, Chloé, Burial, DJ Koze, Super Collider, Four Tet, Au Revoir Simone, and many more, that I just forgot about right now.

How important is the internet for you?
I do quite a lot of stuff (bank, mails, music, booking flights, etc) on the inernet, so Iguess it is really important for me.

How do you see the music business in the future?
Bright and shiny.
