Attention please! Chaim, one of today’s most innovative up and coming producers, comes through with his third strike on BPitch Control “Where is Jack?” and a remix for Ellen Allien! Check them out in his playlist which also includes his “top 5 most influential songs”.
Who are you and where do you come from?
Chaim from Israel, a musicianYou have one new single and a remix out for Ellen Allien’s Bpitch label, how did you hook up with her?
Last year Ellen noticed my releases and offered me to release on BPitch my album and 3 singles. Where is Jack is the third one, and the remix is coming out about that timeHow did you get into music?
There was a lot of music in my house when I grew up so I was always drawn to it. When I started going to clubs naturally the focused turned into electronic house music. How would you describe your sound and its evolution since the early days?
I try to keep my music very dynamic and dirty sounding. I can say that I spend now sometimes months as opposed to weeks in the past on a single track to get it exactly how I want, and I think that’s where you hear the evolution of it.What are you currently listening to and recommend us?
Anything coming out on DFAHow is the scene in Tel Aviv at the moment?
There are a few clubs that target the music that I am coming from, but although they manage to bring very impressive imports, it is still relatively small. Like everywhere techno is still not in the center, and in a smaller country it’s more noticed. If you have to recommend just one club and an artist there?
There is a new club called Block which has nice potential, it’s too early to tell, but their heart is in the right place, so it is worth checking outHow important is the internet for you?
Obviously it became a big party of anyone who is doing this. As a musician to communicate and develop as a musician, as well as the technical stuff. As a dj it makes life on the road much easierHow do you see the future of music business, especially for artists?
For so many years people say the business is going down but it’s still here. I try not to think about it and do my thing, and hopefully people will like it.What was your best night out and what would be your dream team line up for a party?
One of my best nights was playing at Fabric London, it was a great experience. Playing with Derick Carter and Derick May would be great.5 tracks that influenced you in your music?
