They have been forging an increasingly solid reputation for impeccable tunes and sweeping electronic sounds for themselves over the years. Geneva’s Sinner DC have their fourth album “Crystallized” out now on AI Records and a unique collection of rare, unreleased and remixed tracks to stream on our player plus a bonus interview below:
Hi Sinner DC, what are you up to at the moment?
We are “crystallized” about the release of our new album on Ai Records, preparing the coming gigs, dj sets and remixes…Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Hello! We are Steve, Julien & Manuel; a three piece electro combo from Geneva called SINNER DC!What’s your featured mix about?
It’s a selection from our discography proposing remixed, unreleased or rare tracks….How has the new album been received?
We are amazed by the feedbacks…and so grateful for all the support…How’s the scene in Geneva?
“Standardisation is the drug of the nation”We are in a difficult time for the music industry: how do you see the future for it?
Turning music into an industry was necessarily the wrong direction. Personally, we figure ourselves still performing live as holograms… after our death! How is internet important for you today and how do you see it evolving in the coming years?
Internet is such a great way to network and gain feedback from all over the world… but how did we all manage before Internet?! We had to speak to each other!! Bian Eno said: “There should be more Africa in computers”We are in a world with a lot of different models on the net regarding music (free streaming, digital stores, mobile etc.): What kind of service should be brought to the table?
Finally, good music in a nice package is all we ask for, as listeners. As artists, there must also be a way of getting decent income from our work. What are you currently listening to?
- Rainer: “Nocturnes”, an amazing ambient guitar album, timeless.
- The Sight Below: “Glider”, will make you glide!
- The Alps: “III”, music for the desert.
- Rone: “Spanish Breakfast”, delicate & pure
We also appreciate classy eclectic tracks from alainfinkielkrautrock.comTypical tasty SINNER DC’s Joke or recipe to end, nothing best than a good laugh and meal?
Question: How do you recognize a drummer?
Reply: He is always hanging around with musicians! Thanks!
