Celebrating 10 years in Jamaica’s entertainment industry as actors, poets and singers, the young men of the dub poetry group No-Maddz – Sheldon Shepherd, Everaldo Creary, Oneil Peart and Chris Gordon – have emerged as one of Jamaica’s most exciting, experimental live acts. They are about to release their first album “The Trod”, which is the first live album recording produced in Jamaica in the 21st century. Interview after the jump.

Jarcat Records

Jarcat Records launched one year ago as Jamaica’s first web-based music label by a team of three friends – acclaimed Jamaican musician Stephen ‘Cat’ Coore of the internationally renowned band Third World, Jamaican hotelier and upcoming artist Donahue Jarrett, and financier and internet marketing whiz Philip Hill. Cat and Donahue, along with web developer and technology consultant David Wilson – sit down with Fairtilizer to discuss how they plan to revolutionize Jamaica’s music industry through the internet.
