playlist and interview: streetkiss.com

Streetkiss is an online mag, a music blog, and a crew of activists fighting for something they would probably call a kiss guerilla. What does that mean? That means they got love to give and this can take various forms, including art exhibitions, street propaganda, or a Fairtilizer playlist. The sound of love according to Streetkiss.

Of course we wanted to learn more about this whole kiss guerilla thing. Read the interview below!

What’s the story behind Streetkiss?

Streetkiss started close to 5 years ago. It’s a crew whose aim is to offer tenderness in the urban universe. To achieve this we started by giving surprise kisses to bystanders: kiss attacks. Our world built itself around this love propaganda spirit and we launched Streetart missions (propaganda posters, mouth drawings on manholes that we called “Bouches des Goûts”), collaborated with artists for exhibitions, and headed happenings during parties and festivals.

To add music to the Streetkiss universe, we have a blog that started about a year ago, where you can find tracks every day.

Is there a “Streetkiss sound”?

Streetkiss Music is the sound of love. We don’t have a precise genre, we go from electro to rock, baile funk, and more. We mostly want to showcase tracks that fit the Streetkiss universe: love, tender or brutal, to give kisses and share good times!

How do you see the internet evolve in the coming years.

At some point internet will invisible, intuitive and everywhere, like electricity today, something we use every second. It will for example be in your microwave to set the right cooking time for whatever your cooking or on a kind of electronic newspaper that will allow you to read the news in real time. We will use internet for all daily tasks.

As far as the way it’s used, information will also become more relevant notably thanks to recommendation tools and ways to help discovering things that relate to you. We will probably see online software become common, basically our hard disk will be the internet abd our softwares and exploitation systems will be reyling on huge distant servers.
